Turning Dreams into Degrees

This course will empower caregivers, including STRTP staff and resource families, to discuss the value of higher education with the youth in their care and provide ideas for how they can play an active role in supporting these youth to college. Caregivers will learn the significance of early college exploration, preparation, and key steps that they can take to help youth turn their dreams into degrees.

Trainers Guide  – This guide is intended to assist trainers in successfully facilitating the Turning Dreams into Degrees Education Course 1. The guide summarizes key learning objectives for each section, provides additional context and ideas for facilitation. Webinar – Turning Dreams into Degrees Train the Trainer Updates, November 2022: This one-hour training provides course updates made to both Education Course 1 and Education Course 2 in 2022. This training is designed for returning trainers to learn about recent updates made to the curricula, such as legislative and policy updates and course materials. Webinar – Full-Length Turning Dreams into Degrees Education Course 1 Train-the-Trainer, November 2022: This full-length train-the-trainer walks through the Education Course 1 content in its entirety to help equip new trainers to successfully provide this course.
