Ka’lee Matthews is a current student at Los Angeles Trade–Technical College, where she is majoring in Public Relations. She works at the Young Women’s Freedom Center as the Lead of Operations, a role that has strengthened her leadership, organization, and communication skills while allowing her to support others in meaningful ways.
She is passionate about advocacy work because of her lived experience navigating the foster care system and experiencing homelessness. These challenges have shaped her desire to uplift others and create systems that offer support, safety, and opportunity for all.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, trying new food places, and traveling. These hobbies help her stay inspired, curious, and connected to the world around her.
