Last updated Apr, 28 2020

Senate Bill 150, which, took effect on January 1, 2020, offers new opportunities for foster youth to retain access to vital financial aid by enabling foster youth who receive a Chafee Education and Training Voucher to continue to receive funds for up to two years before losing access based on satisfactory academic progress standards.

JBAY developed a toolkit to assist college campuses to implement the law and to support other professionals to understand its provisions. The Toolkit provides practical guidance for Financial Aid offices to consider as they implement the new provisions along with templates for newly required documents.
