All Things TAY Housing, Workshop at CA Alliance Winter Conference

Sep 06, 2022
FROM 1.00PM - 3.00PM

JBAY is presenting at the California Alliance of Child and Family Services’ 2022 Winter Conference. The Winter Conference will bring together Alliance member organizations, educators, mental health professionals, and caregivers serving California’s most vulnerable children, youth, and families. Attendees are invited to join the conference online on the CA Alliance’s virtual event platform, or onsite at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego. Both virtual and onsite audiences will have opportunities to interact with each other and workshop presenters in real-time throughout the Conference.

Workshop Title: “All Things TAY Housing: Where We Are Now, From THP to Homekey”

Workshop Description: This workshop will highlight the various state-funded housing programs established over the last four years targeting transition-age youth who have experienced foster care or homelessness. Presenters will announce brand new policy changes and expansion funding for transitional housing and housing navigation, including expected allocation size by county and implementation timeline. The workshop will also delve into newly implemented programs with “youth set-aside” funding, such as the Homeless Housing, Assistance & Prevention (HHAP) program and Homekey, as well as programs geared toward supplementing housing costs for providers operating THP-NMD and THP-Plus. There will be ample opportunity for questions and discussion, and presenters will solicit feedback on implementation successes and challenges and future opportunities for policy change and budget investment.
