Community College staff, faculty and administrators are often the first point of contact for students experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity and it is essential they are equipped with the tools needed to support these students to remain enrolled. Please join the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office in partnership with John Burton Advocates for Youth for this webinar that will review newly updated resources that are now available to support campus professionals to recognize students who may be homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, and to understand how to connect these students to resources and support. You will also hear directly from students about their experience as homeless colleges students and about the successes and challenges from colleagues across the system. This webinar, open to all, will be of particular relevance to California Community College staff, faculty and student services professionals.
The California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office strives to host inclusive, accessible events that enable people of all abilities to fully engage. Closed captioning will be available. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please contact [email protected].
