Bring in the Pro: Introducing Corrine Levy!

John Burton Advocates for Youth (JBAY) is thrilled to announce that we have hired a Director of Development.  Corrine Levy comes to JBAY with over two decades of development experience in the Bay Area and throughout California.  Ms. Levy has dedicated her career to social change and has worked as a nonprofit fundraising professional, serving organizations promoting social issues, education, the environment, the arts, and the Jewish community.

Working as a development consultant and executive in several nonprofits, she has experience identifying, stewarding and cultivating donors; increasing contributions at all levels of giving; and initiating and managing a variety of donor campaigns and events.

Ms. Levy looks forward to getting to know JBAY’s donors and plans to focus her efforts in the first year on building relationships and expanding individual donors and private foundations and bringing in more general operating support from foundations.

“JBAY is doing incredibly important work, advocating for policy change to lift up the lives of foster and homeless youth. I am delighted to bring my fundraising experience to help grow JBAY’s fundraising efforts,” said Ms. Levy. “This is a small but mighty organization, with a highly effective and experienced program team. I am honored to be a part of this impactful organization.”

Amy Lemley, JBAY’s Executive Director believes Corrine is just what is needed to take the organization to the next level, “Corrine has tremendous fundraising experience. This has been a missing ingredient at JBAY. Under Corrine’s leadership, JBAY will professionalize our fundraising operation and ensure we have a strong financial footing to help youth who have been in foster care or homeless.

Please join us in welcoming Corrine Levy to the JBAY team. Feel free to reach out to her with any questions you may have at corrine@jbay.org
