Dr. Zach Taylor is JBAY’s inaugural Director of Research and Strategic Initiatives, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in education, research, and community-based programming. His career began in youth recreational and mentoring programs through the YMCA, Boy’s and Girl’s Club, and local civic center and continued through exclusive work in Title I K–12 schools, where he taught English and Special Education, serving communities of Color and immigrant families pursuing educational opportunity. At the higher education level, Dr. Taylor has worked for Title I mentoring programs and in enrollment management, and he has served as a contract agent for the U.S. Department of Education, supporting Minority Serving Institutions across the South.
Dr. Taylor holds a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy from The University of Texas at Austin and has authored over 170 peer-reviewed publications focused on enrollment management, financial aid, institutional communications, and ADA compliance. His research has been cited over 1,300 times including in reports by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and state-level agencies.
