Wednesday Pope is a student at Folsom Lake Community College majoring in business administration. She plans to graduate and transfer to a four-year university in May 2024. She is a former foster youth and a new addition to the Youth Advocate team. Prior to becoming an advocate, she actively shared information on resources with other foster youth, researched new programs and services available to youth, and advocated within her college to expand support services for current and former foster youth. Some leisure activities she enjoys include writing music, reading, hiking, photography, painting, and playing video games with friends.
John Burton Advocates for Youth improves the quality of life for youth in California who have been in foster care or homeless by advocating for better laws, training communities to strengthen local practices and conducting research to inform policy solutions.
