Bayley Craig is a full time student at CSU Sacramento and will be graduating with a degree in Family Studies and Human Development this spring. His goal is to then receive a masters degree in social work and start working as a social worker for foster youth. He learned from his personal experience in the system how important it is to learn how to advocate for yourself. Bayley has spent the last 6 years working for the nonprofit SOAR for Youth where he teaches foster youth how to advocate for themselves effectively. He also works as an academic advocate for youth in the program providing them support in their pursuit to a higher education.
John Burton Advocates for Youth improves the quality of life for youth in California who have been in foster care or homeless by advocating for better laws, training communities to strengthen local practices and conducting research to inform policy solutions.
