BHSA Stakeholder Coordination Roster
The Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) Stakeholder Coordination Roster helps youth-serving stakeholders get involved in local BHSA planning. The roster includes contact information for the individual in each county responsible for coordinating the BHSA community planning process.
Background: In 2024, California voters approved Proposition 1, which updated the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA), renaming it the Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA). Under this transformation, counties are required to submit a three-year Integrated Plan (IP) describing how behavioral health funds—including a new mandate that at least 30% be allocated to housing interventions—will be used to meet community needs.
An essential part of this process is community engagement. Counties must show how they are incorporating input from stakeholders, including youth-focused organizations and advocates. This can include listening sessions, public meetings, surveys, and other opportunities for input.
